Biography
Stephanie Strom (born Stephanie Cate) was born into a creative family of writers and artists. Her French mother, raised her in Paris and Cannes until she was fourteen, Stephanie then returned to the United States to live with her father in Los Angeles.

She later moved to the East Coast to study at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where she trained formally as a painter.

After graduation, she returned to Los Angeles joining a team of artists painting large scale murals at prominent casinos in Las Vegas such as Ceasar's Palace and the Hilton Hotels. She eventually ceased mural painting in order to pursue her personal artistic path.

Stephanie then began her mixed-media process that she had explored during her senior year in art school, combining photographic transfers, painting and collage to create her unique imagery. Although Stephanie continued her art career in Los Angeles, she looked to the imagery she came across during her travels to Asia and Europe to inspire her artistic themes.

India, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Italy and France have provided much of the poetic, architectural and spiritual imagery infused in her works.
